Showcasing the Heart of the Region
The Flagstaff County Tourism Ambassador Program celebrates the people and places that make our region shine. Through authentic photos and videos, our ambassadors share the beauty, stories, and adventures that define life in Flagstaff County – from prairie sunsets to small-town cafés, hidden trails, and community celebrations. The program is designed to promote local tourism through creative digital content, inspiring residents, and visitors alike to explore everything our region has to offer.

Throughout the season, they’ll share snapshots and stories that showcase the best of Flagstaff County – from outdoor adventures and local dining to historical landmarks and community events. Program Highlights
- Duration: March to November 2026 (9 months)
- Ambassadors: 3 local influencers or community members
- Platform: Instagram @Explore_Flagstaff
- Focus Areas: Outdoor recreation, indoor recreation, food and drink, small businesses, events, history, and hidden gems
What Ambassadors Do
Tourism Ambassadors will help tell the story of Flagstaff County by:
- Creating monthly photo and video content featuring local destinations and events
- Attending monthly ambassador meet-ups to collaborate and connect
- Sharing experiences on their own platforms using branded hashtags
- Submit content for use on the Explore Flagstaff Region Instagram page
- Engage with the community and encourage others to explore the region
Who Can Apply
We’re looking for enthusiastic storytellers who:
- Live in Flagstaff County or have strong community influence in Alberta
- Are 18+ years of age
- Have an active and engaged Instagram presence (500+ followers)
- Are passionate about local tourism, photography, and community connection
- Can produce high-quality visual content and captions
- Are eager to promote the Flagstaff Region in a respectful, authentic way
Ambassadors will also receive support from the Economic Development team and become part of a collaborative creator network.

Applications open Monday, November 24, 2025.
To express interest, please complete the following Application Form by Monday, December 22, 2025.
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for a brief interview and portfolio review.
