Background

On March 20, 2025, administration was approached by Resonance Energy Ltd. inquiring about the development requirements for a Data Processing Facility on SE-25-043-12-W4, which is in the Agricultural District. In order to submit a Development Permit application, the Land Use Bylaw must first be amended to include this use as a “Discretionary Use” in the Agriculture District. In consultation with Municipal Planning Services, a definition for “Data Processing Facilities” and the special provisions for that use, have been drafted.
